The Cedar Falls High School Student Senate is hosting its 5th Annual Tiger Trot 5K Run. We will be dedicating this yeas race to our PE teacher Mrs. Smith. On October 25th, 2013 Jamie (Garbes) Smith suffered a stroke in the Pons area of her brain stem. She showed strength and courage and came back in full force. This February, Jamie suffered another stroke and this time had to have surgery on her brain to correct the problem. Again we are looking for Mrs. Smith to come back strong. We want he to now that we are thinking of her and cheering for her strong recovery.

This year's Tiger Trot Run will be a Costume Run. Participants are encouraged to wear a fun costume during the race. ie. superhero, princess, zombie etc.

For those who attend Cedar Falls High School, you can earn 3 PE makeups for participating in this event.

The race will start and end in Pfeiffer Park in Cedar Falls.

Race Day Registration: $25

Friday April 15th Lobby from 3:15-5:30 p.m.
Race Day - Pfeiffer Park from 7:30-7:50 a.m.

There will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in both the male and female divisions.

This year we will use half of our proceeds to help families in need and we will donate the other half to the Smith family.

We were able to help 8 families during the holidays using our proceeds from last year's race. We can also help purchase school supplies.
