About the Event |
This 5K race will be held on the oldest high school cross country course in the Midwest. It is a rare opportunity for the public to enjoy running on a true cross country style event on a historical course. Following the open race, feel free to stay afterwards to watch some of the nation's best high school runners at the 5k distance. Over 2500 student athletes will compete in the largest and oldest, interstate cross country event.
The course is relatively flat around the outside of the golf course with occasional road crossing. It's properly marked with an alley that covers the entire course and flags when needed. You will run inside the lines for the entire race.
