Last Spring Stan Loechel was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. This was extremely devastating news to Stan and his wife Joyce, as well as their 5 children and 15 grandchildren. Stan underwent months of radiation and chemotherapy to reduce the size of the tumor on his esophagus so that he could have surgery to remove the cancer from his body. On September 25 Stan had surgery to remove his esophagus as well as his thyroid. Since the surgery, Stan has had several very critical setbacks. Because of these setbacks Stan will be in the hospital for an extended amount of time. The medical complications have placed an emotional as well as financial burden on this already distraught family. Although we cannot help Stan medically, we believe we can help to alleviate the financial burden that they are facing. Joyce is in Iowa City with Stan supporting him through this terrible ordeal. They have no income at this time and several bills coming in. Please come out and support this wonderful man and family during this terrible time.
