Come out and join us for the Mossman Benefit 5K on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at East Buchanan High School, Winthrop, Iowa.

This event is open to the public. Strollers are welcome for the run or walk. Please line-up behind runners.

All proceeds generated from this event will be donated to support the medical expenses for Tom Mossman who is being treated for brain cancer.

Mr. Mossman has been the East Buchanan School Principal since 2004. He lives in Winthrop with his wife, Mary and their children, Vinny, Kristen and James.

East Buchanan High School is located at 414 5th Street N, Winthrop, Iowa. Parking is available on the North side of the High School and several side streets. We will also have shuttle service available at Wieland Lumber located at 644 220th St W, Winthrop. The run will begin and end at the school.

Participants can pick up race packets on Friday, June 27th at East Buchanan High School from 4:00-6:00 p.m. or at the check-in table beginning at 6:30 a.m. the morning of the race.

Please note: T-shirts cannot be guaranteed if registration is received after June 13, 2014.

Volleyball, blow-up slides, Tattoos, Duck Pond, and more!! Free will donation with all proceeds going to this event!

There will be water stations located at the half way marker. Refreshments and snacks will be available at the finish line.

Awards will be given to the overall first place male and female finishers. Medals will be awarded for first, second and third place male and female finishers in the designated age groups.

Age Brackets: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over

Drawings for door prizes will be held for all registered participants. (Must be present to win.)

This event will occur rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel only in extreme weather circumstances. Your registration fee will be used as a donation to the Mossman Benefit Fund.
